3D Environment Artist

I started working at Floyd County in 2018 as a hard surface/environment modeler. My tasks included modeling an environment from provided reference, material and texture the assets, maintain and organize the environment and working file so that it can be used by other artists, and maintain production quality fidelity on models.

3D Layout Artist

As 3D artists we were also tasked with setting camera angles for background layouts using story boards as a guide, and rendering final approved layouts to assemble as a PSD and send to the background team. Out tasks also included setting the initial camera angles for moving camera or animated shots.

3D Environment Modeling Director

In 2021/22 I was tasked with running the 3D department as Modeling Director. Archer Season 13 was our first implementation of the 3D pipeline I worked to develop. As modeling director, my responsibilities included hiring talent, training new hires, coordinating our 3D team, coordinating with other departments in the production pipeline, and weekly meetings with art direction and producers.

3D Character Artist

While most of our modeling tasks called for hardsurface or prop modeling, there were times when more organic environments or characters were needed. I tasked with sculpting main character models for the 2D animation team to use as reference.

3D Pipeline Development

I was one of a 2 person team tasked with rebooting the 3D pipeline at Floyd County. Our mission was to redesign the existing 3D pipeline so that it can be scalable and production neutral. We also implemented a revised set of standard and practices for file, model, and library organization.
